PETRA JOY LAUNCHES THE “JOY AWARD” – sponsored by pjur

This award is for first time female filmmakers who would like to create erotic films that dare to play with porn clichés and show sex in innovative and creative ways.

The topic of the short film competition is “What is erotic to you?” The genre is open and the maximum duration of the shorts is five minutes. The submission deadline is 15th Sept 2009.

The winners get cash prizes and will be shown at the pornfilmfest in Berlin this October - this also where the awards ceremony will take place. More info: www.joyawards.com

Seven female filmmakers, 14 short films, One erotic masterpiece: HER PORN.

It has taken me a year of film viewing, networking and compiling and now it is finally finished:

A 110 minute compilation of the best porn by and for women from the last decade. I am very proud of curating this exquisite compilation and bringing films that were previously unpublished in Europe to a curious audience. The special features include inspirational interviews with all the filmmakers on their vision of porn from a female perspective. The double DVD with informative booklet is currently being duplicated and will be available on my website and in the best sex shops from the second week of May.
